The Best: Natalie Portman. It was just beautiful and pink!
The Worst: Sarah Jessica Parker. Her boobs were about to fall out of her dress.

Holy Crap!

I just entered all the food I had for lunch into my food diary. I already met my limits of calories and fats intake for the day. It's unbelievable to think that some of the most loved foods has a bunch of calories.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I would go to Greece. It has always been a fascination of mine to go there. Love the culture, food, history. Beaches, hiking, what more could you ask for?

Title: Jesus with Dirty Feet
By: Don Everts

Themes: spirituality, Christianity

Synopsis:
If you want something short and different to read, you gotta read this book. Everts gives his readers a different, yet interesting perspective on the basics of Christianity. He writes the book in a poetic form, which I loved. It created more drama and livlihood to most well known Bible stories. This book is good for believers and nonbeliever. I've been a believer for some years now and even I was changed by getting a different view on Jesus and who he really was.

Life is crazy.....

  • Jan. 12th, 2009 at 1:55 PM

Sorry once again for the lack of updates. Things have been here and there and everywhere.
I started a new blog: ode2new.blogspot.com
Check it out. It's the type of blog I've wanted to have for a while but have been constantly distracted from my vision. I will still keep this one to vent and anything else I want to do. My new blog is about using my life experiences to direct others. Life sucks sometimes but it helps when you have someone to help you along the way.
Currently looking for a new job. I got laid off of my other one. Now I'm working in the child care I was not comfortable working in. We'll see how things go. I am trying to sell Avon but it's been a bit difficult. I'm going to some meetings to help the selling and promoting part out. www.youravon.com/jramos2683
I'll keep you updated with everything else. More to tell but not enough time. I have a 9 month old climbing on me. LOL!

Any Legal help???

  • Nov. 8th, 2008 at 7:08 PM

So I don't know what to do with trying to figure out custody issues between Lana's dad and I. I need someone knowledgeable in law or even a lawyer to help me out. The problem is, I have no money so I don't know what to do. How do I win back my daughter? How can I end all this drama of being so stressed out and depressed over this issue?

It's the anniversary of the Russian Revolution, marking the Marxist overthrow of the Russian government. Karl Marx once wrote that "religion is the opium of the people." What is the new opium of the people?

It's hard to ignore the fact that today is Election Day in the U.S. If you went to the polls today, tell us what it was like. Long line? Free stickers? Hanging chads? We want the details.

No long lines! A free sticker! Lana was wearing an American flag. Awesome experience!

A Comeback!

  • Nov. 3rd, 2008 at 12:09 PM

After a long period of absence, I have returned. I've been trying to write in a blog continually without interruption but I noticed it is a hard skill to keep up with. Many people, I'm sure, can agree and understand where I'm coming from. Here are my reasons for my absence.
1. A lot of changes have been going on in my life. One, I am newly single! I have broken up with my fiance of 3 years and we are in the process of trying to figure out what we will do with our daughter.
2. Life goes on. I've had many challenges trying to manage life now with a new baby. I love her to pieces but trying to work, clean the house, eat, all these things are not the same anymore especially when trying to entertain them when they are awake.
3. I have learned I have to separate my journalistic and personal interests aside. This will be a blog for my personal interests in my personal life or whatever I choose to be important. I will create a separate blog for my journalistic interests. I will keep you posted.
Well that's it for now. I hope to come back and write on something else interesting.

Writer's Block: Six-Word Story

  • Aug. 14th, 2008 at 3:58 PM

Hemingway was once challenged to write a story in only six words. His response? “For sale: baby shoes, never worn.” He is believed to have called it his greatest literary work ever. Can you write a story in six words?

Writer's Block: Hope

  • Jul. 8th, 2008 at 1:10 AM

What gives you hope for your future? How about hope for your world's future? Is hope hard to maintain?

View 500 Answers

My daughter gives me hope for the future.
For my world's future, Barack Obama! He's the change we need!
It is hard to maintain in our chaotic and busy world but never impossible to obtain. I've learned that already once too many times!

Writer's Block: Choose a Power

  • Jun. 25th, 2008 at 11:25 AM

If you could have the power to fly, be invisible, or teleport anywhere, which would you choose?

I would choose to fly and where....
Probably Greece! I've always wanted to go there and it's so beautiful and peaceful! It sure would give me some relaxing time to myself!

Writer's Block: LJ Comments

Are you more of a comment-receiver or a comment-maker on LiveJournal? Why?

View 500 Answers

Suprisingly both! I was usually the comment maker but now since I try to get to know others and write my posts on a variety of topics, I'm both!
